Freshly forged, emerging duo LARWOOD & KOH met - by chance - in late 2019. Producer KOH, an ex-metal bassist from Kingston-upon-Thames, saw Lancashire-born, London-bred lyricist LARWOOD pop-up on his Instagram feed and decided to send him a message. “It was his lyrics that caught my attention,” he recalls. “He was different and he stood out to me.”
LARWOOD’s versatile flow and honest lyricism combined with KOH’s varied and signature production has created what Pit London has described as a ‘unique strand of underground rap.’ Though heavily influenced by US boom-bap, their music remains distinctly English with grime, drill and UK rap underpinning their sound.
In late 2020, the duo released their debut EP ‘Score’, featuring rapper Verbz. Following up with a handful of singles (and a viral freestyle on TikTok), they released their second EP, ‘Private Screening: Act I’, in April 2024. Their most recent project 'Private Screening: Act II' was released earlier this year with features from GLOWE and Fieves.
LARWOOD & KOH have has co-signs from many of the underground UK rap scene including Zino Vinci, Brandon Nemhard, namesbliss and others. Along with airplay on Chuck D's show 'And You Don't Stop' , L&K have performed with Sofar Sounds and Yamaha Music’s ‘New Music Monday.’
They have also been praised for their visuals such as ‘AXIS’ which has won Best Director & Best Editor at the Music Video Underground Festival in Paris and The Wordplay Session 'Lungs' which has racked up over 17k views.
